Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interprets specification and assigns duties.
Responsible for ensuring all safety procedures are met.
Responsible for implementing new safety procedures when required by changes in equipment.
Inspects and measures parts and ensures operators are trained correctly to inspect and measure parts.
Ability to present department production status in weekly planning meetings and provide tours of dept. when required.
Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, reduce scrap and improve quality.
Uses Continuing Improvement as a method to cost improve product.
Maintains a good working relationship with all associates and insists all associates do the same.
Manages time and production records with accuracy.
Maintains a clean and organized department
Conducts a monthly department meeting to review department successes, progress against goals, safety issues and continuous improvement ideas.
Analyzes work center loading to estimate worker hours and creates a machining schedule to complete work load.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Interviewing, training associates and following progress, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises all associates in departments as assigned. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, safety and evaluation of all associates on one shift. Manages by following company policies established by Human Resources, Engineering, Quality and applicable laws.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Must have 2-4 years of leadership experience.
Must be capable of writing work instructions that meet ISO requirements.
Must have the ability to develop simple spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel or other programs.
Should have knowledge of Word Processing Software and basic spreadsheet knowledge.
Must be able to wear all PPE required by policy or OSHA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
2 year or 4 year degree preferred.
Competencies
Must have the ability to communicate well, make decisions, and lead associates to excel.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Must have the ability to manage projects in the department.
Must have the ability to solve practical problems while maintaining a positive attitude and using positive reinforcement as a tool to motivate the department.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
