Summary:
Responsible for design, development, evaluation, analysis, selecting and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products and systems. Oversees and manages the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment/processes/systems. Keeps current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Provides expert technical support to operations and other disciplines within engineering organization. Identifies, develops, recommends, and manages processes needed to produce specific products and components.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan/perform the functions of the job. Works on highly technical problems of diverse and complex scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works under limited supervision.

Essential Job Duties
Controls Engineer
Manage approved engineering projects
Develop, implement and manage PLC and Robot logic changes
Provide advanced technical support to maintenance and operations
Develop, coordinate and manage electrical control equipment build, installation and training
Manage TPPL ? common robotics and programming integration with Newport and Arras
COMPETENCIES:
Controls Engineer
Advanced PLC programming/troubleshooting (Allen Bradley & Modicon), Robot programming/troubleshooting (Adept, & Fanuc), Electrical Code. Strong planning, prioritizing and organizational skills.

Education and/or Experience: BS degree or equivalent experience in engineering. 7 - 10+ years engineering experience working in a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of direct project management experience. Supervisory experience desired for future growth potential.
Language Skills: College level written and verbal English skills
Reasoning Ability: Advanced Root cause and abstract problem solving, visualization and quality tools
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and project management software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Lean, Six Sigma or project management certificates are desirable
Other Skills and Abilities: Strong planning, analytical, assertive, and personal interaction skills
Mathematical Skills: College level Geometry, Algebra, and Trigonometry

Environmental Conditions and/or Hazards
This position involves office and factory exposure including occasional exposure to high levels of background noise. The worker is also subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current and exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
Physical Activity
Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily wing fingers rather than with the whole hand or am as in grasping.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word in situations where ideas or important instructions must be given accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 db loss @ 500 Hz, 1000 Hz and 2000 Hz with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in the battery industry is desirable.
Experience in lean or six sigma manufacturing methodologies would be a plus.
A working knowledge of electrical power and power distribution systems would be desirable.
Competencies
The project engineer must be self motivated and committed to achieve departmental and company goals.
Good communication skills at all levels in the business.
The ability to work individually or to be part of an effective team is critical in this role.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
