Break Time Retail Office Clerk I

This position is an integral part of daily operations within an established area and requires efficiency, reliability, and strong computer skills to work within industry specific software. The office clerk reports directly to our Area Manager and works daily with the Store Managers in their area, to ensure accounting and record keeping aspects of the company are accurately and diligently performed.
In an accurate and timely manner, enter invoices, reconcile cigarette counts, reconcile petty cash, reconcile lottery counts, complete daily reports, and prepare deposits.
In an accurate and timely manner, complete price surveys as needed.
Communicate with Break Time stores regarding missing or incomplete documentation in a timely manner. Follow up when necessary to ensure required information is received.
Maintain good working relationship with all employees.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Know and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Follow own posted work schedule, and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers.
Keep supervisor informed of any problems and/or any issues that need attention.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience preferred.
Must have computer knowledge and familiar with Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Knowledge of good workflow principles.
Ability to professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily, up to 100% of the standard work day.
Job requires driving in potentially adverse weather conditions.
Must meet Company requirements, including successful background and MVR check, and drug test.
No felony convictions to comply with Lottery sales and handling regulations.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
