2018-19 Special Ed Teacher

Position: Teacher To Whom Responsible: Building Administrators For Whom/What Responsible: The daily instruction of students. Qualifications: Degree: Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (exceptions related to certification).
Certificate: Missouri teaching certificate in area of assignment. Experience: Successful completion of Missouri Teacher Competency Exam, if applicable; other experience commensurate with assignment. Primary Responsibilities To provide a quality instructional program for students; to complete teaching duties necessary to the district's educational program.
The teacher causes students to actively participate and be successful in the learning process.

The teacher communicates and interacts in a professional manner with the school community.
The teacher communicates appropriately with students, parents, community, and staff.
The teacher engages in appropriate interpersonal relationships with students, parents, community, and staff.
The teacher keeps current on instructional knowledge and seeks and explores changes in teacher behaviors that will improve student performance.
The teacher engages in professional development activities consistent with the goals and objectives of the building, district, and state.

The teacher acts as a responsible professional in addressing the overall mission of the school district.
The teacher adheres to all the policies, procedures and regulations of the building and district.
The teacher assists in maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
The teacher collaborates in the development and/or implementation of the district's vision, mission, and goals.
A standard teaching contract is 1500 minutes for 187 days; extended or part time contracts are prorated from 187 days and/or 1500 minutes. Compensation is according to the teacher salary schedule as established annually by the Board of Education. All other employee benefits are according to the total FTE of employment for the individual.
Performance of this position will be evaluated according to board policies and the Warrensburg R-VI School District adopted model of Performance Based Teacher Evaluation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
